When we visited Kashmir we got to see many apple orchards. I had never seen an apple tree and to see it laden with fruit was amazing The beauty of the apple tree when it is in full yield is a beauty par excellence. We have mango trees and we canno keep the fruits until they turn colour as birds will attack them We harvest them when we see the first fruit that is dropped by the birds half eaten. They still have the green colour While in Kahsmir I got to eat an apple off the tree Image credit:

In our city the mango trees are so common. They will be full of mangoes in summer, but actually they are for decoration only. It's a bit waste in my opinion. I think mango trees are easy to grow big and have harvest.

I spent one summer picking apples when I was young. I was allowed to eat as many as I wanted.

@allknowing Your mean in my city? I've never seen one. May be in some rural areas.
