Ice huts - not part of my world

Last Tuesday at the movies we watched Grumpy Old Men which was hilarious. I haven’t seen it before.
We were all really intrigued with the fishing huts set up on (I guess) a frozen lake. They were like little man-caves and totally foreign to any part of our lives in Western Australia. Each had a hole drilled down into the water below and they’d drop a fishing line into the hole. But maybe I’m telling you stuff you already know.
I remember having couch-surfers from Singapore staying with us and they were blown away with cooking a roast dinner and bread in a camp oven. I guess I felt much the same about seeing the cabins on the ice.
The photo is of a sunset on the Nullarbor Plain.

My family loves that movie. There is a second movie as well, called Grumpier Old Men, it is great, too.
Having lived some in northern states, I am very familiar with ice huts for fishing. It does probably seem strange to people in warmer climates.

Yes, the fishing huts on ice are something we know about; but cold weather activities don't interest me!!! Lovely sunset. Yes, that's a good movie. Have a good day.

Neve heard of the movie, maybe because it wasn't shown in our country.
But I am glad you enjoyed it.
