This is the view of this impressive statue called The Victor Monument in the Belgrade Fortress in Belgrade, Serbia. I've visited there and seen him twice this year, but most recently in October on my Danube River cruise. The story behind this statue's placement is interesting if I can get the story straight as told to me by our local tour guide. It was supposed to be placed in a popular city center location of Terazije Square but they worried about his nudity being appropriate, so they situated this celebration of Serbia’s victories in the Balkan Wars in the Belgrade Fortress instead, facing the Sava River. So while you're in the fortress you get this view per the attached photo taken by me but when you're looking up from the river you get full frontal nudity. Hahaha. The first time I saw this statute I was standing near two girls in their twenties and overheard one of them saying, "Nice butt!"
