I am thankful that in most of our pastorates, I have had the privilege of playing the piano. I am thankful that my mom taught me to play at a young age. Although, I am nowhere as skilled and talented as others, being at the piano is my happy place. It is healing and joyful. It helps me forget the negative and focus on God's blessings. But most of all, with every note I play, I have the opportunity to give God glory, to praise Him for His love and mercy. I want my music to be an offering to the Heavenly Father.
Psalm 81:2
Raise a song, strike the timbrel,
The sweet sounding lyre with the harp.
If they had had pianos back then, I believe they would have been included in Scripture.
This song by Newsboys articulates my feelings perfectly:
"I've got blessing on blessings
Written all over my life
Even when things are going wrong
I got so much going right
There's a song in my soul
And there's breathe inside of my lungs
So many things to thank You for
How could I just choose one?
I've got blessings on blessings, oh yeah"
Go give it a listen.

It's good to think of at least one thing to be thankful for.

i agree that playing piano brings joy and peace. it's good that you were taught at a young age. skill is something you develop during time. it all depends on how much time you're willing to put in practicing. i believe it's good that you get the chance to play music.
also, i love your earrings
