Using up some wool

From time to time over the years, I’ve been crocheting beanies for premature babies. I give them to my sister-in-law who gives them to a friend who takes them to the hospital. I have about six balls of baby wool that I’d got from an op shop (thrift store) and I was starting on more beanies when I got a message saying they had more than enough beanies and thank you, but don’t sent any more.
I decided to use the wool to make a baby’s shawl. It’s a bit smaller than some shawls but still big enough to be useful. I judged the size very well as I had to unpick one beanie to get enough wool to finish the shawl. It’s a pretty colour but being blue, I guess it’s only really suitable for a boy. I particularly like the edging.

There is so much help on YouTube but sometimes it's hard to get the hang of things.

It is very nice of you to crocheting beanies for premature babies to give them to your sister-in-law who gives them to a friend who takes them to a hospital.

It's easy for me to do and helps others so it's a win-win situation.

Very pretty. You're very talented. Have a great weekend. Too bad they aren't taking beanies anymore.

That's good that the hospital had enough beanies. It's also good that you found something new to make.
