Sold plasma again

Today I donated plasma the second time this week. That's $100 I earned. I don't really want to do it but I need the money. I'm on disability and this time of year with the holidays are extra hard financially. I've been doing it the past few months. Since I still don't have a car battery, I walked to the facility which luckily is only 20 mins away but I was feeling lightheaded on the walk home due to the nature of giving blood/plasma and it was dark outside and cold (in the 40s) by then. I made sure my phone flashlight was on while I was walking and walked with incoming traffic facing me so I could see vehicles better. I tried to get home as soon as possible. I pretty much collapsed on the bed and had to recover for about 2 hours. I'll probably go back on Sunday.

I've never heard of anyone selling their plasma, donating yes, but selling, no. I hope that you recouperate.

I'm not sure about other places, but here in the US you can donate blood which is an actual donation. But you can also "donate" plasma but it's not actually a donation because you get paid for it.

i've seen posts about it, but i didn't think that's real. how often is SAFE for you to donate plasma? because i know for blood, there a certain period of time where you have to wait until your next donation. take care

You can donate/sell plasma twice a week with a two day wait between the last donation. It's safe as long as it's not more than that.

This is a hard way to earn some money. It's a wonder you were allowed to walk home after doing this but I guess they didnt know. Please try to rest up now for a day or two.

I definitely don't walk there often, it was only my third time walking for plasma. And I will use my boyfriend's vehicle to get there if he is home but he was at work and I had to get in my 2nd donation of the week before the cutoff.

I hope you're feeling better. I wish there was a better way for you to earn extra money. How often can you donate plasma? Have a good weekend.

I'm feeling better. The symptoms afterwards were normal but I probably shouldn't have been walking 20 mins in the cold. Would have been much easier if I drove there lol. You can donate twice a week, Each time is $50 so you can make $100/week.
