What will you do if you have a noisy neighbor?

A family has just moved in a few doors away from here, and their kids have been shouting nearly all day. I'm not sure if they arrived yesterday or this morning, but I know they are new residents since it's been quiet here until now. The kids even knocked on my door, which caused my dogs to bark non-stop. They keep running up and down the hallway, making a lot of noise. I wonder why their parents don’t stop them, as they are not the only ones living in the building. Most of the residents here are professionals, including doctors, nurses, and flight instructors. What will you do if you have a noisy neighbor?

i left messages and rang one time but the agressive man started swearing so i accepted that i can't change it; earphones, going out, maybe banging with your broom to their wall so they realise they are not alone. that's all i can say, from my side. i'm sorry.

Oh no, it’s really upsetting when we have neighbors who are rude or believe they own the entire place. Haha. If I were in their shoes, I would build my own house far away from others, especially if they enjoy making loud noises. LOL

@grenery8 Oh, that is scary. I hope it won't ever happen to you again. Please take good care of yourself.

@freelancermariagrace it really is upsetting.i had that same experience,part1, when another neighbour was leaving,he still leaves a lot of old stuff in the hall.i left messages and one day he rang or bang the doors and was halfly treating me to repeat that again.i said something,i think i was in shock and when he changed the subject of what i was wearing, short trousers in summer and he came closer to me,i closed my doors.he was the age of my father but a crazy person for whom and similar ones i wish them to build their castle sonewhere else.onlymy wish.bad thing is the manager of our building didn't seem to care, was rude to me once as well and only said i could call the police. What a solution. It is hard to live alone as a woman in today's age.hold on

Yes, I will speak to them kindly if it happens again. For now, they have stopped making noise. Haha. Perhaps someone talked to them because the kids were very loud and didn’t bother to close their door to contain the sound.

I have had to complain to management before, and management talked to the offending party about it. They did quiet down after that.

I will do that if they do it again, especially when knocking at my door, and they will laugh afterward. Yes, they are kids, but the parents seem to tolerate them.

@freelancermariagrace The present generatio is noted for it I remember my niece letting her son meddle with things when they visited a house but never let him touch anythingin her own house.

Yes, dogs can bark excessively. The apartment where I live is pet-friendly, so it's understandable that it can become noisy at times. Parents who allow their children to engage in disruptive behavior, such as knocking on doors and shouting loudly throughout the day, are difficult to understand. These parents often exhibit the same behavior themselves; they speak loudly and don't even bother to close their doors to contain the noise they create.

You can talk to the management or landowner about that unstopable noise maybe they will keep quiet if you will do it.

They are quiet for now. Perhaps the other neighbors noticed the noise they were making and talked to them.

Next time they do it, I will politely ask them to stop. I was lying on the bed and relaxing when the kids knocked on my door and ran away.

Hopefully one of the others will say something to them before you have to.

I would talk to the kids and then to their parents if they kept continuing their ruckus!

Haha, that's something I will do next time if they repeat it. I'm glad they stopped. Maybe the other neighbors talked to them.
