Early Thanksgiving Gathering

Yesterday my family and I gathered at one of my sister’s homes for an early Thanksgiving. We had an outdoor barbecue. I don’t recall ever doing a barbecue for Thanksgiving before. It was very nice. We had chicken and several sides and desserts. I brought some pistachio and white chocolate chip cookies. It was my first time making them. They were pretty tasty and remind me of macadamia cookies. Thursday we will have a more traditional meal at our home. Any Thanksgiving plans ?

Those cookies sound fantastic! Our family Thanksgiving is next Saturday instead of Thursday. My sister’s family goes to my BIL’s mom for Thanksgiving Day, and my dad goes to his wife’s family for the actual day so we move ours. But I want some of those cookies, now!

Thanksgiving Day will just be my husband, son and I. It is nice celebrating twice.

I love the idea of a Tday barbecue ! Your cookies look so good - I'm a big pistachio fan. We're doing the traditional thing too - having my mom over. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Day .

We do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Europe, but I am sure our stores will soon offer Black Friday discounts. Those cookies look delicious.

Your cookies look yummy, and the gathering sounds like alot of fun. We had our Thanksgiving in October, so we are not celebrating this week at all. Although I do have the week off from work and will enjoy some R&R. It's early, but Happy Thanksgiving.

It sounds like you and your family had a good time, Doing nothing for Thanksgiving but for the memories will watch an old Macys Thanksgiving Parade on YouTube if I can find one, The ones from the late 70s and early 80s remind me of me and my mom watching them together, I hope you have a good start to the new week,
