Last week, I heard on the news, that Walmart said purchasing Thanksgiving Dinner, would cost more this year. I was thinking prices are high enough and they are going up. Especially with one of the biggest holidays of the year. I thought about preparing a meal, but now I'm giving it second thought. So did you also hear it?

We bought what we needed for Thanksgiving dinner already. Groceries certainly are high, but I didn’t notice anything jumping higher in price.

Here the turkey cost less per pound than I have seen it in a while at 88 cents per pound. I got a coupon to use on a ham. Actually my brother makes the meat and we all bring sides. I buy the meat now and use it later on.

No, but then I'm not preparing a large meal, either. If they did, I don't think they were refering to themselves necessarilly, but in general. Food costs on some products are outragous and have been for quite some time.

@popciclecold So, it's not really a surprise. Meat, eggs and dairy in particular, are the top three catagories that are hit the most with price hikes. And, many tables have either Turkey or Ham every year.

It doesn't matter to me just sorry for the families who want to celebrate Thanksgiving, I have no one to celebrate with and my next grocery order comes at the beginning of December, I will have to be extra careful what I order because the holidays will be upon us. I have decided to send a letter to Santa Claus perhaps if he sees I still believe I will get what I need,

I have not heard that news. Call me a sap but you know what? If you have good company that you like and enjoy, you can open a can of beans and have a great time. Thanksgiving is just too much- too much food, too much snacks and sometimes booze. I guess I am the Grinch before Christmas.
