It is too bad it is rather expensive. I used to say I only ate salmon because it was healthy, but I had some on Sunday with a splash of dijon, some honey and everything bagel seasoning, it was one of the best things I have eaten for awhile. I am going to try to eat it more often. Once a week shouldn't be too much. Now friend, he eats salmon almost everyday. I think that is too much.

I used to eat salmon a lot (a friend gave me quite a bit), but my doctor told me to not to eat it more than twice a week, so I kind of quit trying to fit it into my diet. Still yet, on the rare occasion I go out to eat, I do look for the salmon.
Yours sounds absolutely amazing! I’m wanting to make that myself.

@snowy22315 I don’t have one of those grills, but I think my dad has two.
He said salmon is really fatty, and that’s a good kind of fat if you eat it in moderation. Just not good for weight if it’s eaten all the time. I had thought it would help me lose weight.

It was really good. Do you have an electric grill like a George Foreman? Did your doc give you any reason for not eating it more than twice a week?

@AmbiePam Actually, it is zero points on WW. I was reading about it, apparently it can lead to too much mercury in the body if over consumed.

It is so good for you. Probably one of the best foods you can eat.

@snowy22315 I agree, it's healthy and good, shame that it's a bit expensive.

I am lately buying only salmon and trout. They are more expensive but they have more omega 2 oils than the white fish. And they are very easy to cook. I think that once a week is not that expensive.

No, and probably even less than a fast food meal.

I used to eat salmon when I cruised but the don't offer it on the daily menu as an option anymore. I chose it every day while at sea because like you said it's expensive here at home and I never get it.

Here you can get a package for 10.99 so that is under 6 for a meal. I'll take it.

@LooeyVille Yeah, I made mine in the George Foreman grill...from frozen so it was plenty juicy.

I grab them only when it's on sale . . . but they don't seem to be on sale as often these days. I also only get wild caught - which makes it even more expensive. As much as I love salmon, I don't think I could even eat it everyday - I would probably eventually get bored of it.
