The Day I Met New Kids On The Block.

Could it be? Am I finally posting about my meet and greet with my all-time favorite band, New Kids On The Block… back in August?! Well, sort of. I’m going to post the “short version” and link to the longer version on my NKOTB fan blog.
Let’s be real, I just want to make this post so I can show off my picture with Jordan Knight lol.
Anywho, I was a nervous wreck (but somehow played it cool) when I met the guys. I mean, I’ve been waiting for this moment since I was 4 years old. By the way, I gave each guy a “Block Party” bracelet (and I have an extra), minus Jon because he politely asked fans not to give him any for environmental reasons. I also want to say that I got to hug each guy as I moved down the line.
I was greeted by Danny first, who was chatty with fans and broke the ice. He loved that the bracelets said, “Block Party” (my favorite NKOTB song, btw).
Donnie was next, and I gave him his bracelet, a letter for the group, and wished him a Happy early Birthday (his birthday was the next day), and he thanked me. He was kind of quiet, but he may have been saving his voice or figured I was nervous (they’re good at picking up the vibes, so I’ve been told).
My FAVORITE member, Jordan Knight, was next. We exchanged greetings, and I gave him his bracelet, in which he thanked me. So, Jordan and I have two things in common - anxiety and shyness. I knew going in he might not be as chatty, but I could say the same for myself. We both managed to get out a few sentences, so I consider that a WIN on both ends. :)
We took the picture, which I have a cropped copy saved (most fans do this), as you can see on the attached picture AND my profile picture.
Next was Joey, who was somewhat distracted at first but also very friendly. I just needed to wait for him to turn his attention back to me is all lol.
Jon was next, in which I let him know that he was my late Mom’s favorite. He told me he was so sorry for my loss and was just so sweet about it. It was a nice conversation that made my Mom part of the experience. That especially means a lot considering she was always supposed to be the first one I talked to after finally meeting them (I decided that years ago). Those who have me on Facebook may have noticed I tagged her in my post about it, therefore, she was still the first person I told.
Anywho, the guys were sweet and it wasn’t overwhelming, so I think it went well. I left the area after taking a few pictures and videos of my friends (who did the same for me), as I needed to collect my thoughts and grab my food and merchandise.
Would I do this again? Absolutely. I’m hoping to get “Individual” next time. With Individual, you get the usual groups of 10 (which is what I had, you and 9 people in the picture with the guys, and you create your own group), but then you head to a different meet and greet, where you meet the guys BY YOURSELF. Yep, that won’t be nerve-wracking at all lol. Anywho, there are only 10 Individuals per venue, so we’ll see.
Am I going to do this next tour? Nah. I’ve opted to get three decent seats and take my sisters, as we haven’t attended a New Kids show together since 2017. It’ll be fun! :)
Alrighty, if you want the more detailed version, including when I talked to the guys and my concert experience, you can find it at the following link:

I do NOT earn any money from that blog. It’s just for fun and only for fun. However, Donnie Wahlberg follows the connected Instagram, which Danny Wood and Jonathan Knight have also seen, so that’s payment enough lol.
Anywho, I hope you enjoyed reading this (or reading my blog) as much as I enjoyed meeting the guys and attending their concert. :)

I knew you'd eventually get to it. And I am glad you were able to do that. I am sure the next time will be a bit better, as they would somewhat know you from this time.

@tammys85 oh yeah, I thought I had shared that I had when we talked in messenger, but maybe not. Time goes by too fast, it's hard to remember lol. That would be awesome to be able to do that, glad you were able to!

Awww thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
Only Donnie follows it, which is wild lol. He's VERY interactive on Instagram and Twitter. Danny and Jonathan have "liked" posts on there. Now, I just need to get Joey to see it lol. Jordan (the guy in my picture) left social media, but he's Jon's little brother, so maybe he'll be peeking over his shoulder one day and see it haha. But I'm grateful for the interactions I've had with the guys on my page, and now, in person!
