India is a land of Immigrants!

Earlier I thought dravidians were original inhabitant of Jambudweep aka India who came from Africa!
But now I learned the original inhabitants of our land are the people who are known as Adivasis!!
I am really sad that history did wrong with them and still they do not have any representation on mainstream media or fields!!
Even the presidents who were tribals were not allowed to worship diety like other category people could do!!
I hope, they get educated, and have face in national media or streams!! They have the actual claim on India and we are subjecting them to struggle by snatching their lands even!! Rest of people should respect them but instead they are discriminated!
One of my friend confided in me, who was an adivasi, was discriminated by our teacher and staffs! I felt sad but then I did not know about this fact that they are the original people of india! I am sure she also does not know about this fact and my heart pains that most of the people are unaware still!
Thanks to Ambedkarji who actually gave representation to them in government jobs and educational institutions!!

Pretending and still their parent organisation terms them banabasi!! The party whose holy book is manusmriti cannot work for other backward communities of India! Adding to that, adivasis are not hindu!

@allknowingNow they are wanting to introduce manusmriti in the parliament which is so daring on their part!! Adivasis are still waiting for their new religion-sarna!

I understand that some categories require reservation. But there are many reserved category students whose dads are high-end industrialists and many general category students who were born into poor families.

High end industrialists?? No! Countable and they are in lower strata still!! And reservation was not given to uplift from financial distress! It means representation!! The classmate I was talking about was from lower income class but she was discriminated! The assistant professor threw her application after seeing her category but that did not happen with a poor general student! The poor general student who was my friend never went through such behavior! I remember another assistant professor in the class used a casteist slur when she was explaining the movie! The whole class started laughing and I could not believe my ears!

@Dreamerby Do all students from reserved category get?? No!! They have to compete in their category.. All our anger gets misdirected to the reservation system which is their right when they were historically ostracized by the brahmins and general people!
I also had a similar thought as yours but that slowly changed because I started listening to their perspective and seen few instances!
The problem is with education system and the people around and within it and not the reservation!
Infact one of my friend who is now a teacher is being discriminated by the principal and his right hand and did not let him help in organising the constitution day!
You are very young to understand these systems! Focus on studying and being a topper!

@anya12adwi Its kinda sad and distressing that General students have to get under 300 rank in wbjee to get a seat in the top engineering clg in WB whereas the reserved category students can get that with 5k-8K rank dependeing on the type of reservation.
