Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends in the United States and around the world celebrating today. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
I enjoyed Thanksgiving yesterday with my son, his girlfriend, and my next-door neighbor. The food was good, the friendship excellent, and my son being here made it perfect.
We did Thanksgiving yesterday because my son will be working today. He's an Uber driver and there's a football game in town tonight. He always does well when the game is here. My son's girlfriend is also working today and taking the day off tomorrow so she can watch the game. She's a manager at McD's and opens around four in the morning so she can have the store ready for the breakfast rush at five. With the game tonight, getting up that early wouldn't be easy. So, she's working today and taking tomorrow off.
This will be my first Thanksgiving when I can watch the parade and not prep the meal at the same time.
I also told my son it would be my last meal. I am putting the holiday meals in his hands from now on. I was totally exhausted by the time everything was ready yesterday and went to bed early last night. Earlier than usual, as some of you know, I'm an early riser and go to bed early on most nights.
I also got all the unpacking done in time to enjoy Thanksgiving here yesterday. I still plan to move, but where is now the question. There's a new 50+ complex going up near my son. I looked up information this morning on the new complex and learned it won't be ready until late next year. My name is still on the list for the other 55+ complex. The waiting list is extensive. If the new complex allows housing, I'll get on that list as soon as possible. That one offers an outdoor pool, pickle ball court, cafe open to the public, and a new library on the first floor. There will be 83 one and two-bedroom apartments. From what I saw of the design, it will have balconies. I hope they accept Housing.
In the middle of everything going on here, I'm also working on my books to get them ready to publish next year or as soon as possible. I keep running into issues. I'm working them out.
Okay, that's my news. What's going on in your life since I've been away? I will have the Thankful post today. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. We had our first snow last week.

That new complex going up sounds really nice; I hope they accept housing.
Today I’m just watching football, and enjoying some crab salad I made. Our family Thanksgiving is Saturday. My dad is at his wife’s family today, and my sister is at her husband’s family until tomorrow, so we will celebrate Saturday.
I hope your son makes that good money tonight. I’m sure business will be booming with that game being such a big deal.
The Lions game was good, so I hope the next two games are entertaining too.
It is so good to have you here, Valerie. I hope you’ll drop in more often.

Thank you. I hope they do too. If not, I'm on the list for the first one, which is also very nice.
I hope he does well tonight too. I know he's working right now as it's 3 hours before kickoff. Will you be watching the Packers and Dolphins battle it out here at Lambeau?
I'm glad you found the Lions game entertaining.
We'll see. I'm thinking about it. It's been busy the past couple of months.

It sounds like a Happy Thanksgiving dinner with your loved ones. . It was good to have it one day early for all the reasons you have mentioned. Better to have relaxed time with family than to have a rushed one when everyone has to wake up early the next day.
Take care. I hope that you get lucky to get one of those apartments to move.
Lovely picture of the snow

Happy Thanksgiving Valerie. :)
Your season is here. :)
We don't celebrate it in India...god saved India from Columbus....so that we can keep our country dirty and take pride in it. LOL
How have you been?
In India, nobody would tell others that their son is a Uber driver and his girlfriend is a manager at McD... in fact, no girl who is a manager at McD would ever date a Uber driver here, unless she has been a damsel in distress, and the Uber driver was the hero who rescued her. The reason is simple...most women here want partners who earn more than them and do not consider Uber drivers to be right choice. We are WEIRD, and this attribute is compounding with education and sophistication. LOL

My son is doing very well as an Uber driver. His girlfriend is also doing well as a manager. I think they're on par with one another financially, but I don't ask. It's none of my business.
I've been good. I'm working on my books and enjoying the snow when I see it. It's snowing today. Not hard, just flurries, but it's snow.
I hope you're doing well.

It was good to hear from you. I hope the housing situation works out for you. I'm glad you were able to spend Thanksgiving with your son. My hubby is still in the rehab facility; and I am getting my children's book ready to publish. Nothing else new. Have a good weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and family. Well, 1 year is a good amount of time , when the time comes we can see which of thse would be better suited. For me, I have been busy with my work activities , website and online activity. There are days , I wish I had a weekend to relax but my weekends are also becoming weekdays due to workload. Perhaps around Christmas , might have a temporary decrease in workload . I did decrease a bit of my debt and looking forward to get other big bit decreased by next year. Hope things work according to plan. Well, you enjoy the day!
