Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving, along with Christmas are my favorite holidays. I love Thanksgiving - 1. because it flows from the arrival of the Pilgrims and their Christian faith that so impacted the founding of America. It references a time when people came together, helped one another, and then gave proper credit to the Almighty for His provisions. 2. Although, I believe we should try to live every moment in an attitude of gratitude (I Thessalonians 5: 18 "In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you"), I also believe it is important to have a day set aside where family and friends can come together and worship and give thanks in groups. It helps us remember the ones in our lives who truly support and care about us. It also reminds of who the moochers and troublemakers are, so we can set boundaries throughout the rest of the year. Anyway, I know many are struggling, hurting, feeling alone, and are just frustrated with life. Even if we fall into one of those categories, ourselves, let us take a moment to thank God, at least, for our salvation. Then let us pray for those who need to feel God's presence and experience His provisions. Happy Thanksgiving! photo credit: clipart-library.com

@gnatsmom lol. Just the way it should be. Although, putting leftovers away usually results in some additional grazing.

i also believe it's such an amazing holiday/event, specially if we're not paying enough attention to what we have. at least that one day we'll be focusing on things we have and we're grateful for. i don't celebrate it, but i wish you a happy Thanksgiving!
