Hope those of you that celebrated had a great Thanksgiving. It is s**wing like crazy here. If you are traveling today, take your time and drive safely. They are predicting s**w over the next few days; and I think it will be mostly lake effect s**w.
I got 2 calls from my hubby which made Thanksgiving alone acceptable.
112 days until spring!!!
Will you be doing any Black Friday shopping today? I only had a couple of gift cards to get; so I am done.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Buffalo chicken/Swiss sandwich and chips
Dessert/Snack - Chocolate chip muffin
Dinner - Meals on Wheels - Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, corn, pumpkin pie
Normally there is no Meals on Wheels on Thanksgiving or the day after; but for people alone, they provided a dinner that came from the hospital kitchens.

Alot of cold winter ahead. I hope the weather there is mild enough you can still get to the hospital to visit your husband.

I call it Mississippi pot roast, and that is essentially what it is. But of course, follow recipes exactly? Not me, ever. My version was simply a beef chuck roast tossed into the crockpot. I added a bit of seasoned salt and garlic powder. Then put about 4 or 5 slices of bacon over the top. A handful of chopped onion went on top of that. Then I added a packet of brown gravy mix and Ranch dressing mix. Tossed in potatoes and carrots, and voila! It was delicious.

I heated up the rice I had with spinach and tomatoes and chicken nuggets, There are some things I need but will have to wait until my SS arrives in December,

That's good you got a thanksgiving meal from them and got those phone calls from him.
No snow here, but that is good since last year we got over a foot of snow on Thanksgiving.
