Progress in My New House

Perhaps some of my dear Mylot friends know that I am building a small house of my own for my family. I bought the plot of land long ago, in 2017 but I couldn't make any progress after that. However, in 2022 I got the land blessed and began the construction work . In spite of financial limitations, I managed to raise the house. The neighbour was constantly complaining that an empty house could be used by thieves, robbers or other evil minded characters. So I got the doors and windows fixed. However, the glass is yet to be mounted on the windows. Nearly a year later, plastering of the walls was started in the first week of November. Outer walls were plastered first. The work on the internal walls began yesterday. The progress is rather slow but I'm glad it's steady. Though I wish the floor tiled but perhaps I will have to wait for six more months. I plan to get the kitchen , washroom, water and electricity supply done first. They are essential. Beautifying can wait. I hope , we can do the house warming next year by this time. I'm grateful to God that He has helped me at every step of the construction. I'm already feeling a expectant thrill as the building work is coming near its completion.

Slow progress is better than no progress at all. It will be nice when it is all done!

It’s so exciting to hear about the progress on your house! I can tell how much effort and patience you've put into making it a reality, despite the challenges. It’s amazing that you’re so close to moving in, and I'm sure the housewarming next year will be a huge celebration. Wishing you all the best as you finish the final steps—you're almost there!
