Big Tech Could Soon Own Banks??

Good morning, everyone.
I recently heard that big tech could soon own banks. I don't know that I'm a fan of that possibility at all.
Don't they have enough access to our data as it is? Just saying. Is there nothing they won't try to have a hand in??
What are your thoughts?

Just look at it this way- if they want to know it about you they will. And that has nothing to do with tech owning companies.

Years ago, saying that would have made someone look like a paranoid schizophrenic, but oh how times have changed.
There is an old saying "sometimes "madmen " turn out to be prophets".

@jnrdutton There is a line between madmen and prophets.
And I don't think it would of then, it just depends on the company you keep.

My point was that some people who may have once been thought of as crazy, might not necessarily be considered so now. @thislittlepennyearns

I haven't done an in depth study on it myself, but knowing how grubby big tech already is, I wouldn't trust them with my banking data. @TheHorse
I already know many of the big tech companies market and monetize user information, that's what keeps the platforms "free".
I really would hate to see what they do with MORE information and power over the banking system.
