Very cold day.

Not looking forward to winter, and it feels like it already. Our first snow is supposed to fall tonight or tomorrow. And it's cold in my apartment, like the heat isn't on. But it is. I have a small space heater in but it's not cutting it. I'm in Ontario Canada, but south western Ontario, not hit by snow yet. Other areas have been hard hit with up to 6' of snow. I'm disabled and this will be my first winter using a mobility scooter, up until last winter I was using a walker to get around. I wish winter was over before it even starts.

Just doubble and tripple check the charge before you use it. Batteries can give off false readings if it's too cold or too hot. And even though the batteries in the scooter are enclosed, they still don't like the negative numbers you'd need for snow.

Well, hopefully I won't be going out much in the snow, only if absolutely necessary. I have to fix the cover of the battery compartment as it's not on right, so hopefully that will help protect the batteries better.

@kris182_2000 Yeah, it'll help somewhat, I'll give you that one. I just thought I'd give a little friendly advice. I know batteries and cold don't mix, and it doesn't have into the negative numbers. Most batteries hate it when you start getting into thesingle digits C or anything below 40 f. And, for it has to be 0 c or 32 F, or below. I deffently would make sure the batteries are protected and covered. You don't want them possibly getting wet either. Mobility scooters are meant to be durable, but they have limits. How long have you had that thing? Did you get it used?

@kaylachan I've had it over 4 years. Just got the batteries changed in the summer. I'm due for a new one next spring.
