12/1/24 - Update On My Husband

I called and left a message for him to call me; but he didn't call again yesterday. I'm going to have to tell the aide or nurse to go into his room and help him dial the phone. That's the only way I will get a call.
Maybe we will be able to see my husband next weekend. The weather is too bad here right now.

I hate when that happens. I know all to well that is. I use to have to do that call the nurses station. I hope the weather gets better.

They ought to just put it on their schedule and do it. It would give him some shape to his days then. I know all kinds of care facilities are overworked and understaffed, though.

@LindaOHio Be okay with going such long streaches without talking to him and basically needing to force him to call you, by saying you need to tell a nurse to dial the phone for him.

@porwest It warmed up during the night to 43. I can hear the s**w and ice crashing down from the roof. Maybe the s**w will melt from the dish; and I can have TV again.

It must be so frustrating when you can't reach him. Can't you do the calling? He needs to have a room phone or cellphone that stays on all the time.

His room phone is in a drawer and he hardly ever leaves his phone on AND the times he does, he doesn't answer.
