How cute are these tins I got at the thrift store my daughter works at! I saw theme and was debating on them for a few weeks.
My husband told me to just get them. There are actually two Mrs. Clause but I only put one in the photo.
Originally I was going to make cookies to put in them but I decided to make Sweet spiced walnuts and almonds instead.
I’m going to give them to our sisters, parents and my daughter. I’m going to hopefully get them all made my tomorrow and deliver them soon.

@snowy22315 I would have loved to have been given one as a gift myself so I’m hopeful my family who receives them will like them.
@AmbiePam they were $3 each. I thought they were just adorable as well!

@allknowing almonds, pistachios and walnuts. I used a recipe that coats them in an egg yolk then mixes them with sugar, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon before baking them.

@Juliaacv thank you! They were $3 each. I kept debating and thought I could wait until two weeks from now when all Christmas stuff is 50% off but my husband just told me to get them. I may get done more tins not as cute as these for my friends. I would have bought these for my friends if there were more but there wasn’t

@Lindaohio so far I am thank you! I gave my parents their Mrs. Claus tonight with a homemade card my little one and I made. My dad loved the nuts!

@GardenGerty I finished my mother, father and nephews. My mom’s allergic to pistachios so I only put almonds and walnuts in theirs. I haven’t tried the pistachios covered in the mixture yet but my husband things it’ll be good. Hopefully he is right or I’ll have to pick out 1 1/2 cups of them from this batch. They are so time consuming to peel the shells to begin with.,

@celticeagle I love cookies but it seems everyone makes and passes out cookies at Christmas time. Plus nuts will fit in the tins better.

@luisadannointed thank you! I bought another one today that is a gingerbread man. I have only gotten my parents made and dropped off so far. I’m giving them each a homemade card as well.

@Dreamerby the amount of sugar on them would kind of interact the health benefits of the nuts they are very good.
