migraines

migraine stole my day yesterday. i woke up with it – drank pills around 7am and went back to bed. woke up around 12 – pain is still there. i lay down and get up at 2pm to drink pills again. then my husband got us food and i ate a bit and then went back to bed and slept until 7pm. day stolen, but at least i was feeling better and had like 3 hours left to do something fun before i go to bed again. i looked like Yoda in the bottom picture though
i had one last month when we were visiting our cousins. i woke up with it and drank pills, but never rested because we made plans for the day. we went out, did fun things and all that time i was in so much pain, but i didn't want to ruin fun for everyone else. this one was the one where i feel better after i throw up, but it took me 10 hours of pain to get there and finally throw up. i ended up making everyone worry about me, but i was finally feeling better.
i never visited doctor about this, but it's on my to do list. my mom had the pills doctor prescribed for her migraine and i was always taking them when i had it. but i don't live with my mom anymore and i definitely need stronger pills or i can't function at all... or i can but it's unbearable!
i honestly hope nobody has to deal with this kind of headaches, but in case you have them - what do you use for pain? i've seen "the trick" with soaking your feet in warm water and putting a wet cloth on your neck, but i'm not so sure it will help me. any natural remedies (ha ha)?

@aureategloom About a year ago I started seeing a cupping/massage therapy trained woman, and the migraines are maybe one every couple of months now. It’s a miracle to me.

I’m sorry you have to deal with migraines; they can disrupt your daily activities. My aunt experiences them, but I’m not sure which medications she takes. :(

You should consult a doctor before taking any medical pain relief. But, rest is the main thing you need when you get them. You did the right thing there.

@aureategloom Advil is very good and safe. But never take another's prescription stuff without consulting your doctor.

Migraine has no remedy in allopathy. I do yoga regularly and therefore I don't suffer from it. I had sinusitis which got cured through yoga.

@aureategloom Yoga keeps us fit. I have cured my arthritis too by doing yoga. It keeps your weight under control too.

i think you really to visit a doctor as soon as possible , our health is more important, drinking also many pills is not that good. i dont have that kind of sick, i sleep so well everynight, but if its often aching maybe you have a problem in youre eyesight also so better you check yourself early than to regret it.

i agree with you and i will visit doctor as soon as possible. i don't think it has anything to do with sleep because i sleep pretty good and my eyes feel fine. it's genetics. my mom has it and that's probably where i get those from. oh well

its not good to take meds that are prescribe not for you. whenever I have one I always can't get out of bed in my normal days, and I just drink biogesic. I was diagnosed to have one when I am in grade 3... as young as that and if I can remember my extreme studying hours is one of the factor that causes that... I don't know why, but I thought I ws healed a long time ago since I was not taking any meds, but last 2017 it came back.
