The Christmas Card Chronicles

Back in October, I had this brilliant idea to get ahead of the holiday chaos and ordered custom Christmas cards early. I was feeling pretty proud of myself—like, Look at me being all organized and prepared! My plan was foolproof: order early, get them early, and avoid the stress.
Well, fast forward to just before Thanksgiving, and guess what finally showed up? Yep, the cards. So much for being ahead of schedule! I mean, I’m still on time, but now I’m in that awkward phase where I need to actually sit down and start writing them before my “early bird” vibe completely fades away.
Now I’m looking at this stack of cards, wondering how I’m supposed to come up with something thoughtful and festive for each one. Like, how many ways can you say, “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year”? I know I need to just start writing before December flies by, but, honestly, the couch is looking way more appealing right now.
Guess it’s time to put on some holiday music, grab some snacks, and make a night of it. I even tried to enlist the help of my husband on this, but he told me that this is my project, and he will leave me to it. But gently reminded me to sign his name on it as well! Here’s hoping I can actually get these done before it’s suddenly Christmas Eve!

I know, right? Just with anything else, everything seems to just become even more expensive. But I do know that we have some family and friends who look forward to receiving letters and cards from the mail. Despite having access to the Internet and emails, they prefer the classic way of sending greetings and letters.

Most cards have those wishes printed on them. Why worry?

Oh, Judy, you are so on top of it, I wish I can have half your determination and motivation. Don't get me wrong, I love sending our cards in the mail, but somehow this having a holiday so close to the next one seemed to affect my timing and preferences. I did give myself a deadline that these cards should be ready for mailing by the end of this week. So we shall see!

Thank you, now I just need to get some motivation to actually sit down and get these done. Somehow the holidays are making me lazy . But I set-up a deadline for myself that I should get the Christmas cards done and ready for mailing by the end of this week. So wish me luck!
