That is what I did. I found a cute little sign that says Missing Socks, find your solemate and it has a little bar with some clothes pins on it to clip socks until the mate is found. I have to order it, I've been busy today, and will order it tomorrow.

What about making their favorite holiday bread and just wrap it for them?

Thanks, I would like something for them to unwrap. We won't be able to gift them large items like this after I retire, so this will likely be their last biggie from us.

@Juliaacv ........That is a great little item. I have an old wicker basket that I used to have on top of the dryer and the odd socks went into it. It was flat and round.

@celticeagle I had a shelf beside the dryer that I sued for items like that.

@kaylachan I just found a really great wall hanging on amazon that says lost socks, and has a bar with 6 clips to hang single socks on. That would be really handy for the volume of laundry that they do.

The only problem with a gift card is that the place that they like to go to you cannot eat at for less than $200 and after spending over $1,000 on a dryer, that is a bit much for Christmas. I am saving my earnings for when I retire in a couple of years. I saw a nice hanger on amazon that folds out like an accordion and that may be a wise choice.

I am thinking about something that I saw on amazon.

I found a cute little wall decoration, which is practical also. I am going to order them that. We spent enough on the dryer that I don't want to shell out another couple of hundred for a gift card to eat out. I feel a little disgusted this evening. I went to the appliance store and brought the fact sheet that he gave to me the time that I went in a couple of weeks ago. He remembered me and he put my order into the computer, they have to order it from the Whirlpool warehouse, and then he calls me when it is ready for delivery to their home. I put my glasses on to text my hubs as I had to ask him for their delivery address. He noticed that I put my glasses on and took them off and I feel that he took advantage of me for that. After I paid, he printed off the receipt and explained that it included removal of the old dryer. I didn't have my glasses on, but I clearly told him, no we do not need disposal service. I never considered looking at the receipt, but my hubs did when he came home and there was a $25 charge for it. Plus 13% tax. Now I need to make my way back out there to have them credit my debit card to have that amount cleared. I think that is terribly misleading and almost fraudulent because we had a discussion about removal and I told him that they have someone that wants their dryer and my husband would remove it and have the area all ready and swept clean for the deliveryman to come along. I feel sorry for him when I call tomorrow as it won't be a kind discussion, and I will want to speak with the owners and discuss my concern regarding his dishonesty. It isn't nice to cheat this ole lady, and now she's got her back up.

@Juliaacv I hope you get the extra charge taken care of. 13% tax is quite high.

@LindaOHio We're used to paying high taxes, it hurts when you purchase a home or a car. I got the extra charge taken care of, sorry to vent on you about that, I hope that it didn't upset your morning.

I would like to do something like that only they have to order special dryer sheets because of Harper's skin sensitivity. I saw a nice fold away clothes hanger for the wall on amazon that peaked my interest.

They got all of the use that they could out of the old dryer. It is time for a new one, with the twins they have alot of laundry.

Thanks, I would feel safer knowing that their dryer is new as their current one is old, and I worry about a dryer fire.

@sallypup They hang some big and bulky items of their own to dry, but with a family of 4 alot of things do require drying.

@Juliaacv We've been in this house just over two years and are still doing good enough using a simple dryer rack instead of a dryer.

I ordered, and received a really cute little wall hanging for lost socks. I wrapped it up this morning, I still have to put the ribbons and gift card on it.

I'd like it to be related to the dryer.

@aureategloom They are very particular about their clothing, I don't want to waste my money trying to buy them things that they may not like.

I will order it today. I am also searching for a wicker clothes basket, I had a really good one years ago that lasted me a very long time. So many items like that are impossible to find today or are made from synthetic fibres so I will have my work cut out for me.

There are alot of great ideas on that site. I have seen some nice wash, dry, fold and repeat framed prints that may be nice to hang on the wall.

You and I would love a laundry basket. I think that my son would also. But, his wife is a wicker basket person, and I wouldn't even know where to buy a good wicker laundry basket.
