winterizing your vehicles is a must do thing

Hello everyone in the fridged cold weather, have you tried starting
your vehicles up ? we did & well it wasn't turning over it got cold
If you put it in a building it stays warm for it to crank but not if it's
out in the cold when it's not protected from the north winds.
I had a appt to go to this afternoon but I had to cancel it cause
we couldn't get the car to start but I am waiting for another appt
maybe this week, I went & fed the dogs & as cold as it is my feet
got cold, so I am going to call it a day & take me a nap awhile.
So if you want to go somewhere you need to find a way to keep
your vehicle warm where it will start when you're ready to go or
your going to be stuck at home till you can get it going for you again.

@Deepizzaguy it isn't like down south where it
gets in the mid low 50's it gets where if you're
outside more than 30 mins your GONNA FREEZE.

I sold my car after my hands began to tremble after I was in chemotherapy. I had a wonderful garage for it with 3 walls. How it is the place where I hang clothes to dry and have barbeques.

Well it's the right thing to do when you don't
trust yourself to be B-hind the wheel & turned
the garage into a place to enjoy life more.

If you know the car won't start with the cold, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get it started.

@2ndchances24 Yeah, I know. George delt with it back in his twenties when he was in the navey. It rarely gets that cold here in Florida to where we have to worry.

@kaylachan But it's always good to keep them checked
cause you never know when they will stop running.

I had a new battery put into the car that's outside. Hopefully that will work plus it has a full tank of gas. Need to have a new battery put into the car in the garage. I want to sell the outside car. Have a good day.

I wouldn't sell the other car in case the other 1 won't start
It's never a bad thing to have 2 vehicles on hand.

It isn't a must everywhere. Just in some places. It doens't stay cold enough for long enough for us to do it here.

That's why I said in the fridged cold weather
I wasn't meaning everyone or everywhere.
I know not places in the south get as cold as
the states in the north, but thank you for
pointing that out.

garages are wonderful things, but it can be a struggle when you need to turn on the car in the cold weather. it needs more time to "warm up" i guess

I usually back my truck in to help protect it as we can't put them inside. But I make sure I have a very good battery in it also

you can go the next day after days of cold weather
my better half didn't even think to go To check to see
if it would start till a hr b-4 we had to go so I told him
you get a new battery & a new charger & check it
the DAY B-4 we have to be somewhere.

I don't know how that works for people but I
HAVE to have a vehicle to do things, But when
I get where I don't need a vehicle I'll find out
how people do it.
