Well that was a nice surprise

My ex told me on Monday that he had a bad cold and that’s why I hadn’t heard from him. Yesterday evening I texted him to say I hoped he was feeling better. He said he wasn’t. I suggested he go to the walk-in clinic. He got snippy with me so I didn’t reply.
He must have gotten the message. When I woke up this morning there was a text apologizing for being short and saying that he really felt awful. (Physically) Then he wished me a good day.
It doesn’t sound like much I know but that is actually a big thing. He isn’t one to apologize for something like that. He usually just sounds off and then moves on. As I’ve written recently things have thawed between us which has been great. That text is one more step in our improving relations.

Have you seen that meme that says, “What a woman experiences in childbirth is almost as much pain as a man experiences with a head cold”? I’m glad he apologized, and I hope he’s feeling better. Hope it’s not covid, too.

I'm glad you're getting along so well. Maybe in the future your status will change. Did you hear about Trump's latest appointment? -- The billionaire to the NASA position? Have a good day.

That is a good gesture, and nice to know he is able to take some accountability for his actions. I admit I do not him very well, but given the circumstances it seems like he is doing what he can at the moment to have a good relationship with you. I wish you the best, and hope that you stay warm and healthy!
