Christmas Party

So, those who know me know I do a kick a** Christmas party every year. Friends, family, food, and awesome games. I set up a bunch of the "minute to win it" games (if you don't know what that is, there's a TV show called Minute to Win It and its lots of fun). I have all sorts of food, and we have group games and a Dirty Santa exchange too. If you've never played the saran wrap game you have got to do it! Anyway, this year its only going to be my household, one (of my seven) siblings and their household, my Dad, and my teen's friends. That may sound like a lot but usually its at least 4 of my siblings and their households. So, when you have a smaller party what do ya'll do differently than when you have a big party? I don't want to take away all the fun but I'm not sure if its worth setting it all up. Your thoughts? I'm leaning towards doing it all the same, but less food.

i only had birthday parties when i was a kid, i never hosted a party as an adult. the party you're planning sounds interesting. i would probably do the same thing as i would do for a big party - if there are leftovers, everyone can take some home

I have 7 siblings, so yeah parties were very rare occasions growing up. Now that we're all older the local ones still get together and our Dad lives in the same general area so he comes. I totally pawn off leftover food!

Sounds like you really know how to throw a party. So, do what you do, only on a smaller scale.

I vote for doing it all the same but lesser food. I cannot see why it will not be fun still. I think there will be no Christmas party for my husband and I this year, or a party that we will attend because we are planning for a destination Christmas celebration that is also our vacation get-away. We'll see if we can manage the travel arrangements before the week of Christmas day.
