Dandelions

I would not like to consider dandelions as weeds as they are edible and pretty too They do not grow here but would love them if they did. Rather than have weeds that do not flower I would prefer dandelions any day I know there are gardeners who keep uprooting them from their gardens. They could atleast have a croner for them. They are so beautiful Image credit:

I don't know if they're in other parts of the world, but they are rampant in the US. I don't mind them but the leaves are kinda jagged looking and make grass look ugly. I think every kid has picked dandelions during their childhood lol. I've never eaten them, but I've heard you can make salad or tea with them.

As for me, they are food and medicine. I let them grow wild on my property.

We consider them weeds around here, but I don't think we are actively trying to get rid of them during spring and summer - at least here in our small town, I believe. They help in pollination and from what I hear are a good source of food for butterflies and bees. Dandelion seeds are my favorite to photoshoot. When I was young, we call them "wishes". They are so light and fluffy and flies when blown. We believed as kids that those fluffies carries our wishes to heavens.

Those who totally uproot them need to be educated. I have those kind of seeds - purple alamanda. They fly around
