It's been 3 months!

I can't hardly believe 3 months has went by, so much has changed. In a previous post I mentioned that I had to quit my job, let me tell you it's the best thing I ever did! On Labor Day I got a call for an interview, the next day I went in and was hired. I went straight into management, at this business I have learned how toxic the past job was.I do love my job and it's less stressful, however, I want more, something that's more mentally challenging but for now it'll do. I'm getting my life back, let me rephrase that, I took back all my control so life is so much better. It's taken a very long time but strict boundaries and lots of praying... I've made it. I hope everyone is doing well and if it's God's will I'll be writing once again very, very soon. How has life been treating you?

Leaving a toxic is never easy, but it sounds like it opened the door for you for so much growth and opportunity.

Congratulations, looks like you are to break free from that old job that has plagued you. A toxic work environment can take a lot from you, and for those who were unfortunate enough to not find anything else for them, they either get physically ill or are not in a good space of mind. There is very little in life that we can control, but for those that we can, we should not let anyone, or anything, take hold of us to force us to do something that hurts us. You are fortunate that you are able to break free from that place, and was able to build your life on your own terms!

Why do people establish toxic environments, I do not understand. My second job, they could afford to have Intercoms, but the bosses refused to install them. Their way of functioning? Whoever comes in the room, ask them to call the next person, and this led to friction because of egos. The juniors were called more often, and so they felt more important, while seniors were called by these people who felt, they are in higher position, so they acted it. Simple intercom would have helped, but no. Moreover, work does get disturbed when people are called into boss's room, right? Toxic atmosphere created out of stupidity, if you ask me. Yes, worth walking out...always. Enjoy yourself...you can always establish more challenging earning routes. No need to tolerate nonsense.

So many ppl have to deal with tough work environments with no way out if they want to keep an income. Sounds like you have been very fortunate and I like how you said you took back control of your life. We should all try to do that if we can, in many areas of our lives.
