This is a really late post, but we just got back from town. R's car died and he needed a jump so after dinner we went and helped him out.
But before that I made dinner. It's been cold outside so it was a perfect night for homemade chili and corn bread.
My chili recipe is fairly easy. I know recipes are a no no here, but all I throw in it is ground beef, chili powder, rotel, and beans. Usually I use kidney, black and chili but all we had in the pantry were kidney so that's what we got.
It was good, should of made more. Buuuut it was good and there were no leftovers.
Because dinner kind of got rushed and we had to go help R, I didn't get any pictures but it was beautiful and delicious.
So that's what went on the table here. What happened at your house?

I see you have attempted to respond to a post by the Trump derangement crew. I read the post, and she did not make one observation backed by any factual evidence. Even when you supplied her with the facts, she would not accept it, calling it dribble.
I refrained from responding because you can't fix stupid. I've had my back and forth with this crew before and sadly, their hatred of our president-elect "TRUMPS" any logical reasoning.
Anyway, I had homemade lasagna for dinner, and it was delicious if I don't say so myself, lol.

When you live your whole life in four walls, and don't ever experience the real world- your views are going to be a little skewed. I have tried to tell her that. But you know, shes older and knows better. I have met plenty of people well into their eighties that aren't that educated despite them being almost three times my age. I have also asked her multiple times to have a logical debate with me. But all she says is hail Harris, screw Trump- in not so many words. If she wants to live in a bubble- then she can do that. I tried talking sense into her and her crew- much like you to no avail.
Homemade lasagna sounds amazing! It's funny you mention that, I was thinking last night about making homemade. What kind of cheese and sauce do you use?

@thislittlepennyearns Nothing fancy but it works for me. The sauce is called Rinaldi, the mozzarella is actually a store brand (Bowl & Basket) the ricotta cheese is Galbani. What I do that is different is to use regular lasagna noodles and bake them with the mixture for 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
No dropping noodles into a boiling pot. No mess and its easy peasy!
