Teachers are very important.

With the degradation of some modern day family units. The good teachers are the ones who are raising some children. Teaching them right from wrong. I heard of a case where a child was being molested at home by her stepfather. She was afraid to tell her mother because she would say she is lying. The child had to report it to her teacher. The teacher then report it to the police. The police then took action and remove the stepfather from the house so he could no longer molest the child.

I fully agree with you.Teachers are important.Good teachers help us when we are in distress. They make us a good and responsible citizen of our country. But there are bad teachers also. They mislead their students.

@askme123 I understand. I knew a teacher who was caught red handed while molesting his student who was a teenager. Now that teacher is no more.

Such a sad situation. I agree. At times, mothers choose to look the other way because they are afraid that the father would leave them, and the father happens to be bread winner. Women should therefore work and save enough before marrying so that they are not bowing down to whims an will of their spouses, when it comes to their children.

This is why they say that good teachers are practically second parents with the way they are able to make a difference to a child's life. If the child's household situation is not ideal, they can find the school to be a safe place. Teachers, especially those who teach lower grade levels, have very critical responsibilities during the children's formidable years. They can help shape or mold their future by showing them what could be their potential. However, they can only do so much, but even at that can potentially have a huge impact. Like the one in your story. That was really sad, but glad that the child was able to find help. Hopefully the child finds more people on her side, rallying for her as she starts her journey to healing.
