I've lost a leg!

In talking to @celticeagle earlier this afternoon, I realised that I hadn't put out my mother's ceramic Christmas tree. So I did that.
And in doing so, I knocked off a wooden shelf-sitter cat. I had done this before and the leg broke off, but I could find it then and glue it back on. Not so today. I glared at my mother's plaster statuette of St Anthony and told him to cough it up.
I guess that's not the way to get his help, because I can't find it. It only bounced once, so couldn't have gone very far, but nope. Not around.
Maybe a ghoul grabbed it thinking it'd be good eating.

That's the way of things, isn't it? I just hope the body of the cat doesn't disappear too.

@BarBaraPrz I'll tell you about the treasure I have. At the World's Fair 1964 my dad bought me a small wooden cat because I liked its green eyes and the mouse it was holding in its mouth. Today I still have it but the cat has one eye and no mouse.

when my mom couldn't find something and it just "disappeared" like that, she would be like "oh, the devil took it so he can play with it. i'll wait till he's done" - so she doesn't get too pissed about it. it was always so funny to me because my mom is actually religious
so yeah i think it's actually possible that ghoul took it to play with it and he'll return it today
