My Grandmother's Nursing

My grandmother wanted to be a nurse. But, she found she couldn't handle the blood and some of the things she would have to do as one. She is a person who believes in homeopathic doctoring and she helped a lot of people in her day. She was born in 1899 and died in 1988. I remember my mom telling me about a young woman she had worked with when she worked at the Air Force Base. Mom brought her home with her. She was sick and mom knew that grandma could help her. Grandma saw immediately that the woman was malnourished and anemic, she probably just needed some good food. Grandma fed her the home-canned Concord grape juice she had canned. It is high in iron and so tasty. She also fed her Kidney beans which are high in iron too. Before long this woman was feeling good, had energy again, and was feeling good.

She was lucky that was the only problem. Modorn medicine does have its place.

Yes, it does. But my grandmother was able to diagnose her and helped her in a way that 'modern' medical doctors don't.
