I've just spoken to Wynne Evans on the radio again today.

Today Wynne was asking "What have you never done?" on The Wynne Evans radio show.
I was going to send him a text anyway, because he was out and about at the weekend in that horrible storm, storm Darragh. He had a concert in Liverpool on Friday night, then in Birmingham on Saturday night, and then on Sunday in London. He's still in London now doing his radio show from there.
So I started my text before his show even started, (it takes me a long time to do a text.) I started with, Good morning, Wynne. I was concerned about you on the weekend out and about in that horrible storm, so I sent up a little prayer to God to protect you and keep you safe.
Then his show came on, and he was asking What have you never done? so I continued my text with:- There are a lot of things I've never done. I've never been abroad, I've never owned a bike, I've never been on a train on my own, I've never smoked or taken drugs. I'm also a virgin!
Then Wynne came back on after a song and he said he'd never, and would never, do anything dangerous like skydiving and he'd never go on a rollercoaster, so I added to the end of my text, I'm with you on the dangerous things and rollercoasters! From Sharon in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
I was doing some laundry, so I went into the downstairs loo with my phone, just incase they wanted to get in touch about speaking to Wynne. (Our washing machine and dryer are in the downstairs loo.) I wasn't expecting anything, because in my experience they never get back in touch on a Monday! I removed the ordinary load from the washing machine, and put the first woolly load on. (I'm doing a second woolly load today because Mum has some grotty socks she wants me to wash but she thought I probably wouldn't want to contaminate the other woollies!) After I'd done that, I went to the toilet! Then the phone wrang! Isn't that Just the way? It was a different lady from The Wynne Evans show on today, she had a real Welsh accent! She asked me if I'd like to talk to Wynne, but she said we'd probably not be able to get through everything, so to concentrate on not having gone abroad and not owning a bike. I said I could speak to Wynne, so she said I could speak to him straight after this song! I had to finish what I was doing and get into my bedroom out of the noise of the washing machine!
So I went into my bedroom, and when Wynne came on he said, We've got Sharon on the line, Hiya Shaz and I said Hello, and he said How are you doing, and I said I'm coping, and then he asked me whereabouts I was in the country, and I told him I lived in Lichfield, and he talked about being near there and something I couldn't quite catch, (I'll listen back to it later ofcourse.) Then he asked me what I've never done and I said I've never been abroad. I said I haven't even got a passport! He asked me how old I was, and I said I was 55. He asked me if I'd ever go abroad, and I said, no, I'm not really interested in going abroad. I said I haven't seen the whole of the UK yet! Then he asked me what the furthest away I'd ever been was, and I said I'd been to Wales, but then I said, no Scotland is the furthest I've ever been! Then he said, but you have been to Wales? and I said yes, I've been to Llandudno (and I pronounced it the proper Welsh way!) and I've been to Rhyl, and I've been to Cardiff once. I said it was to a concert, and he asked me what concert I went to, and I said it was Extreme supporting Bryan Adams in the 90s at Cardiff Arms Park. Then he said it was nice talking to me, and I was going to say I'm glad you like my Christmas card, but they'd already transferred me back to the lady, and she said, What were you saying about a Christmas card? and I said I was just going to tell him I'm glad he liked my Christmas card, and she said, Oh, I remember now, I remember you talking to him before. And she said thank you for getting in touch anyway, bye, and I said bye. And then I turned my phone off.
So I'm a happy bunny again now. I hope to speak to him again, but whether it'll be this week I'm not sure. I don't know whether they want you on more than once a week!
If you want to go listen to it on the BBC Sounds app, it's on at 35:43 minutes in approx.
Anyway, what are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

You and Wynne are getting to be quite the item! I'm glad you were able to talk to him again. My husband's 3rd cousin will be picking up a load of groceries for me, taking out the trash, etc. Have a good week.

Yes, it did make my day, and yes, I am going around grinning! But I didn't really get chance again to tell him everything I wanted to tell him. Ah, well, maybe next time!

Thank you very much. Yes, it made me very happy. I hope to speak to him again, but it won't be this week now because he's not on the radio show for the rest of the week because he's in London practising for the group dance on the Strictly Come Dancing final on Saturday.

Yes! Again!
I definitely didn't feel as nervous as the first time. I prefer to text and then see if they'll get back to me to talk to Wynne rather than phoning myself.
I'm not really interested in going abroad. I've got lots of the UK I've never seen yet, including some beautiful places in Wales.
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.
