Trying to Get Back to Work

I stopped freelancing some six months back because I wanted a break and focus on some other things. This means that I have to rely on my savings. I am not losing sleep over that because right now, the idea of working and earning is seriously making me sick.
Still, I thought of "getting back to work" today. I fixed the timings too. I would work from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and take just snack breaks and a lunch break. Just like a regular work day! I thought I would work on my blog and organize my nature photographs. Maybe write a blog post or two. I would also watch my son who is preparing for his board exams and help him out whenever required.
I thought my plan would work, but all the following happened:
1. My laptop refused to turn on.
2. So I took my laptop to the repair guy.
3. Then I started fixing my desktop, which was covered with dust.
4. Then I reorganized an entire room because I wanted a place for the desktop and my son's study table.
5. Since I had to get loads of dust out of my way, I got a dust allergy that exhausted me.
6. I slept off the afternoon hours.
7. I woke up at 3:30 p.m., had my jaggery coffee, cursed myself, and thought I would "work" till 5:00 p.m. I want to get back into the 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. routine.
Now, I cannot think. I thought things happen as we think. But sometimes nothing happens as we think. Or maybe it requires time? What do you think?
Sorry for the long post!

Yes, dear. Tomorrow always brings with it a new chance. I have at least started opening my computer and typing stuff. And that is a good beginning. I guess it just takes time to get the mind and body used to something.

Well, I had my share of challenges. It is tough to get the time schedule back ,when we need it that badly. Well, you got to force yourself and do it like now or never. With that attitude , you should be able to get things moving. I wanted to wake up early , I started to usealarm. It was tough in the beginning but after 2 weeks, my rhythm was better and I was waking up early. Also , see if you can get a job that needs you to drive or travel foratleast 30 minutes. Sometimes, Neccessity forces to get things going. I have seen that with lot of people. Good Luck!

You may be right with that about getting a job that requires me to travel. Working from home is mentally stagnating sometimes. I guess it is time to hunt for a small part timer to get me going.
