When you get older you do not need to show off to your friends anymore. True friends will know you and realize that you are who you are. So there is no reason to show off anymore to anyone. Besides that you do not really care anymore what anyone thinks about you. You have outgrown the look what I have stage and the look what I can do stage. You are you and no one can take that away from you. Getting older is no fun but at the same time you can still enjoy every minute of every day.

Aging comes with challenges, but it also brings a wealth of experiences, wisdom, and moments to cherish

Right - there's no need to try to impress or please anyone that way. As we get older, I think we get comfortable in our own skin - so there's no need to play these games anymore.

As much as I hate that my health is worse the older I get, I don’t miss the lessons I had to learn when I was younger. Personal growth is worth aging (until I get dementia then forget I said that).

Getting older certainly has its moments! I am quite happy being a scruff and shambling along, just enjoying those little moments as you go

I love the freedom of getting older and not caring about what people think anymore. It's liberating as ever. I have no one to impress. I just want to be me for whatever it's worth and people either like it or admire it or hate it and avoid it. It's just what it is. lol But you are right, it's the aging part that sucks and what goes along with that.

I believe so, and I don't think anyone should show off, its hard to be someone that we are not. My mom always tell us to be who we are. its great to know true friends a long the way.

Your values do change over the years; and you do care less about what people think....And when you're retired you can do what you want when you want...another advantage. Have a good day.

i don't think there's a need to "show off" even when you're younger. it's important that you know your and think good of yourself.
