Happy Tuesday Everyone! what a nasty day here today. Started with fog and now e have rain and it's just plain dismal. The good thing is the temperature is above freezing so there's no worry about anything getting icy and slippery.
I'm waiting for FedEx to bring a big box today. My daughter and I decided to buy a bakers rack for the kitchen and go halfs on the cost as a Christmas present for both of us. She wants to make part of it a coffee bar and have a place for all her flavored syrups, etc. I just want a shelf for my cookbooks.
Since nothing ever comes assembled these days I'm just hoping it isn't too heavy and that they put it on the porch and not in front of the garage.
I'm really surprised that it's coming so fast as the expected delivery wasn't until the weekend.
My big plans for today is to sort through the gifts I got for Christmas, see what I have and then figure out what I still need. I'm hoping I'm as far along as I think I am and not going to be surprised that I still need way more stuff than I thought
Writing out my Christmas cards is still on my "to do" list but you know me and procrastination!!!
How's your day going?

It's 11:51 PM... I am tired and yawning as I write this snuggling in the warm blanket on my bed. Tuesday was good for me. I hope that the package is not too heavy and you two can easily assemble it. Sounds like one useful gift for both of you. Enjoy your day. Hope that it goes well and you are able to do whatever you plan to do.

You're here late. I'd be snoring by nearly midnight. Glad you had a good Tuesday.
My son is going to assemble the bakers rack after Christmas. Works for me

@Marilynda1225 I go to sleep by 10 on weekdays. But since it was a state holiday declared today due to sudden demise of one former leader here, I chose to stay awake late and come here.
Good that your son can help

I had a pretty good day today.
I got what I believe to be the very last gift wrapped.
I just have to do the ribbons on that gift and a couple of others.
That probably won't happen until Sunday.
I love the idea of you and your daughter splitting on a baker's rack, I have one and I have always loved it.
We don't need it in the kitchen anymore but it holds alot of items in the pantry.

@Juliaacv I probably do buy for more people but as the family grows my budget has to stretch even further.

I had a bakers rack in my other house and loved it but gsve it away when I moved. I probably should have kept it but you know how that goes.
You're way ahead of me getting your gifts wrapped. I did manage to sort through mine and I'm in better shape than I thought i was.

I found one that would fit in the space that I have so I lucked out. It's the right size and I didn't have to settle.

My cards are usually mailed by now; but I haven't started them yet. Not really in the Christmas spirit of things. Have a good day.

I'm surprised you even had time to think about Christmas cards. I doubt I'd be in the holiday mood if I had to deal with everything you are dealing with daily.

@Marilynda1225 Yes, it's overwhelming. I have a list of 9 calls that I need to make in addition to handling things with my husband's "discharge".

Boring, one more day to wait until I have my car back. I did just get back from a walk though, got ahead of the rain showers.

Did it come yet ? I would be excited for a bakers rack . . . it'll be fun to put it together and get all your stuff organized on it. Hee hee - I sure know about procrastination too . I'm just going down the to-do list for today . . . but of course there is always more to do.

@Marilynda1225 That's nice of your son . Now that it's physically there, it's like having the present under the tree . . . can't wait to open it .

FedEx delivered it early and left it on the porch (yay FedEX). My son offered to assemble it after the holidays so I'm going to take him up on his offer. I can wait a few more weeks .

It sounds like you're having one of those dreary days where the weather just adds to the mood, but it’s great that the temperature is above freezing at least! The baker’s rack idea for the kitchen is fantastic—sounds like a perfect blend of practicality and style. A coffee bar and cookbooks both sound like great uses of space.
Hopefully, the FedEx delivery goes smoothly and they leave the box in the right spot. It’s always a relief when things arrive earlier than expected, especially when you’re on a time crunch with Christmas plans!

The bakers rack will be decorative and yet serve a purpose to keep things organized. The delivery came early and yes, they left it on the porch. One less thing to worry about.

I have one that I would like to get rid of if I can find something to replace it.
I am where I thought I was for presents. Almost done

We've gone from freezing and below to today where it's in the 60s but rainy. Tomorrow we plunge right back to freezing cold.

I've realized that my handwriting is suffering and not as nice as it used to be. Guess typing on the computer, etc all the time and not hand writing as much is the culprit.

@Marilynda1225 My hand-writing is shocking nowadays. I type a page or half a page and put them in some of the cards. Otherwise I print a short message.
