Do You Like Egg Nog?

United States

When I was a kid, during the holidays I used to love egg nog, but not so much now. I still like it, but not like I did as a kid. It is a festive drink, and I wonder if I'll purchase some this year maybe I will. It has been a long time since I have had any. Do you like Egg Nog? Just a thought I had.

I was never a fan of it. I have to say probably 20+ years since I have had it so who knows maybe I like it now. I might buy a little container of it to try it again.

Good job. I might do the same, since it has been a long time since I've had it. Good to see you.

@popciclecold yeah, got to try things they say our tastes change over time. Not sure how true that is but will give it a try.

I absolutely love egg nog, but I don’t really drink it anymore because of the calorie count. Once, I had red velvet egg nog, and it was amazing.

@popciclecold Yes. At that time I shopped at Target, and they had it. Now, I only use Walmart.

I don't think I've ever tried it. I think it is more a cold weather drink and we have hot Christmases.

I first had egg nog in my early 20s. I liked it for a while, but maybe in my 40s I started not caring for it as much. Maybe it's too rich?

@popciclecold I think I remember having it in hot coffee - not too much though. Less rich that way.

It has never really appealed to me. I will have it on occasion with a little brandy. But just for the nostalgia. Personally I think it honestly tastes like crap. lol

I do love egg nog cause its so fatty and sugary. I tend to mix it with either sparkling water or 7 up.
