What do you prefer your December weather to be like?

I prefer it to be seasonable with a bit of snow here and there, especially around Christmas. I can only remember snow somewhat close to Christmas one year since living in this area though. It bugs me when it is cold enough to snow and we don't get it. We have had hardly any for the past 3 years all winter..and when we do get it, it seems like it turns into a terrible storm like we had in January a few years back. Sigh! Do you prefer warm or cold weather this time of the year?

Yes, that would be ideal. Very unlikely to happen here though.Unless we get some kind of Canadian clipper to blow in or something.

@snowy22315 The days are cold, but not cold enough to snow and often I see the fog in the valley.

I like living where there are seasons, so winter usually doesn't bother me much, unless we have below zero temps for a long stretch of time, or..my dreaded ice storms. I really don't like ice storms, but I like snow.
Over the years I think no matter what the weather, someone isn't happy, somewhere. It's too hot, too cold, too much rain, they need rain, it's too humid...you know the drill. No matter what we say or do, we can't control the weather, and many people can't afford to move or to have a second home. It's better to just deal with what I don't like, and enjoy what I do. Of course, no one wants terrible, deadly storms, no matter if it's hot or cold, winter or summer.

Let it be cold this month. The days start to get longer in January so the cold and sn*w can take a hike then…or else I will.

@snowy22315 Thanks. I love the small town life. Physical therapist said to me that there would be other docs to talk with about my health in the larger city just north of me. Yup. And a freeway to get there. Forget it. I'm staying in the slower lane, thank you.

It would be hard to get used to it being hot as Christmas time.

I prefer the colder weather with a bit of snow too. Sadly we rarely get snow here at all. My last white Christmas was in Germany in 1975.

Ohh, long time ago. There is frequently snow when I visit my parents for Christmas. The last few years have been snowless there but they have tons of snow on the ground now. I think at least some of it will last for Christmas.

As I have mentioned to you specifically numerous times I am in Central Virginia.Rain? That is the last thing I would want here. I guess you have a fairly dry climate there..but maybe not so much in Oakland and rain is appreciated there.
