Holiday shopping so far

I'm late Christmas shopping for my four kids (one is an adult) bc I had to save up from selling plasma and online surveys and such. I may sell my $70 in crypto to help. So far, I managed to get 3 gifts apiece spending about $150 total on the younger three kids... but I'm guessing it will cost $200 more to get all their stuff. My adult kid's gifts can wait until after New Year bc I won't see him for the holidays and he's understanding that the little ones can't have an empty Christmas morning. It's good I'm actually feeling positive that I can pull this off. I have been stressing about being able to provide good memories for them this year.

My relatives and myself have been buying some a few Christmas gifts that fit our budget this month.

I hear you on that one. I have been strategically choosing gifts that are either on sale or affordable but still really good. Times are tough for many people right now.

That's good that you're able to manage to get some nice items for the kids. And good that your adult child understands.

I just want them to have a good time and memories with their mom. I'm sure it will work out, but the stress and worry leading up to it is awful.

@JudyEv Thank you. It's getting better. Sometimes it helps to just get it off your chest... things are still hard but I'm handling it. This is a stressful time of year for most though. I hope your holidays will be filled with peace and love

As of right now, we aren't getting gifts for anyone but the kids... but next year shouldn't be as hard financially so I think things will be better for us. I hope you were able to find some cool stuff for your family!

Are there activities you can do with the kids? My family didn't have a lot of money when my daughter was young. We looked for fun things to do like visiting Santa or going out and looking at lights and making cookies together. Simple things that made our daughter happy.

I have a few things planned to do... some cost money but some don't. We're gonna make some keepsake ornaments and since I already have a bunch of art/craft stuff, that won't cost anything. They love games so we will play Uno and Monopoly I'm sure. There are a few things I want them to help me cook. We're gonna watch the best Xmas movie of all time, A Christmas Story but that is $4 to rent. At some point we're going to a place to see light displays, ride a train and enjoy vendors, etc and that will cost a bit of money money but it will be a fun experience for us to do. The kids will finally meet my boyfriend's parents so that is exciting for us grown ups lol. I'm trying to come up with some ideas, but it can be hard when you have different age groups. Less kids would be easier to accommodate lol.

Don't stress yourself out. You can get a few small gifts rather than big ones. Have a good day.

I'm planning to buy my son a soccer jersey of his favorite team. Adidas store is the only store I know selling legit soccer jerseys here so I might visit it. But there's really one thing I know that he'd want and I might get that too, it's an additional RAM for his computer. For his girlfriend, I'm making a crochet top.

That's all I want is for them to remember having a good time with me. And yeah, my oldest is the best child a person could ask for. He's an amazing human being!
