Mom abruptly woke up this morning asking for a spare gate key because she can't leave. It turns out my aunt tried to open the gate and the key got cut in half when she struggles to unlock it. I don't get it, how hard it is to open a damn lock. I never had problems with it. I didn't raise any issues so I just replace it.
It's either the quality of clone locks have gone down or my aunt is not careful with opening locks.
Have a nice day

I broke a key in the lock once, way back in the 60s. Unfortunately, we didn't have a key for the side door, and the back door was secured by a bolt on the inside. Luckily, a neighbor helped us get a window open, through which one of us went and managed to open the door.
