nowadays people (mostly girls heh) are talking about making different types of journals - thoughts journal, gratitude journal, travel journal, book journal etc. i believe it's all to keep thoughts and memories alive and that's why i'm having journals
myLot can be used as some sort of thoughts and gratitude journal
some of us like to travel and i think @LooeyVille would have an awesome travel journal if she decided to make one
but i decided to focus on book journal because i think these are relatable. many myLotters read, some more often than others, but it doesn't matter. we all like reading on some level
you can find this book journal/review thing on temu and i don't know if i should get this or make one on my own. it would be cool to put these cards in the book and when someone borrows it from you, he/she can see your thoughts about it.
i used to have some sort of book journal back in high school. i would write down basics about the book and my favorite quotes and my thoughts on it. later i realized how much time it takes me to write all that, so i started typing quotes in word and printing it out. i must admit that written things look nicer to me, they are more personalized, i don't know
and what about you? have you ever had some sort of journal? or if you're one of the "readers", would you consider getting this book journal thing or you prefer other way of doing book reviews?

I have a prayer/Bible reading journal. I even take it with me on my trips. And yes, I look at myLot as a sort of journal, too. I like to look back at some of my travels via older discussions.

@aureategloom — you’re so kind! I keep a list, but not a journal. I like to listen to the song before I write about it so I can capture what it’s doing to me at that moment. Unfortunately, most of this music knowledge is stuck in my head from learning to read on the back of albums.

@FourWalls just telling the truth
that sounds like a good idea. i've never heard about writing the feelings while listening to music, but i've heard about "experiments" where teachers would play theme from Swan Lake to kids and tell them to draw what music makes them feel and some of them would actually draw lake or a swan or something like that. maybe you can try doing that too
it's good that you remember the things you read, now that's even cooler

i could tell you're really dedicated to keeping journal or something of that sort, at least that's what i concluded based on your posts about your favorite songs, that's so impressive to me
having prayer/Bible reading journal sounds like a nice idea to keep with you and always remember God.
myLot is a good place to "save memories". i sometimes go through my discussions and see how much everything changed. i laugh at some. can't imagine how fun it is when you're active on myLot for many years

I have done some journaling in the past, but am not currently. I want to get back to it, but at days end I am really just wanting to be in bed and be done with the day. I guess I would need to journal sometime during the day.

maybe some time, when you feel like it. i'm currently not working and i'm spending much time in the house, so i'm trying to come up with different ways of spending my time. journaling seems like a good one to add to my list

@rakski i don't use them anymore, but i think i used to use Gratitude: Self-Care Journal, 3 good things and another one but i can't remember the name. i feel like it starts with P. however, there are many other apps that you might find more interesting or nicer

it can be difficult. thanks to the internet there are many online forms and apps we can use to keep journal. typing is faster than writing anyways

I am unable to continue with my gratitude journal. I don't know it is difficult to follow a daily routine of journaling.

i think that daily tasks are something that comes naturally, spontaneous. but journaling isn't. we won't spontaneously take pen and start writing things. so yeah - i think that's why it's difficult to keep journal

I used to do a personal journal, but I have stopped doing that. I have been reading a book that suggested doing a gratitude journal. I have been doing that lately. I don't use a book journal for my book reviews I do on here.

@aureategloom After my crash and bad cold, I am a bit behind on my pedalling. As long as it isn't too windy or really heavy rain, I used to try and get out
