Trump clearly has never been to a grocery store

So Trump got people all riled up about the price of eggs and groceries. Despite the fact that he was threatening 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada which obviously would raise prices he claimed (narrator: LIED) that grocery prices would drop almost immediately after he took office. He walked that claim back in an interview with TIME magazine for his "Person of the Year" cover. (what an effing joke) When asked about grocery prices decreasing he said: "I'd like to bring them down. It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard." Oh so it won't happen immediately? SHOCKER. Today he spoke at the New York Stock Exchange after ringing the bell to start trading. In his speech he said that he knew of an elderly woman who wanted to buy 3 apples but had to put one back when she saw the price at the register. " I tell the story about a woman who… went to a grocery store, had three apples and she put them down on the counter and she looked and saw the price and she said will you excuse me? And she walked one of the apples back to the refrigerator." Yup--apples in a refrigerator. That's where they are kept in your grocery store, right? This is like the time he said that you needed to show ID to buy a loaf of bread. He is so out of touch with regular Americans. It truly is mind-boggling that so many people think that he understands their challenges and he is fighting for them. He can't buy groceries. I'd bet a lot of money that he can't drive a car. We know he can drive his rigged golf cart but he wouldn't last 2 minutes on the Garden State Parkway.
