A friend and I decided to have some seasonal fun together. Nothing exciting but nice. She and I are about equal when it comes to our physical issues. She picked me up and drove us to our little downtown. The store front displays are bright and merry at this time of the year. The little hardware was still open so we went in there and had a friendly chat with the Dad and son team that run the place. There's an Irish pub downtown. We walked a bit then headed over there for a snack of silly corned beef eggrolls before snooping in an antique mall. She drove us all over town so that we could gawk at folks yard light displays from the comfort of her vehicle. Wow on the displays! There were the usual Santas and Grinches, a few nativities but also a dinosaur, chicken, a large blow up arch and even a pig! Fun for one and all- never mind the light bill at the end of the month.
