A December Morning of this year

December mornings are magical yet challenging, especially with the biting cold that makes leaving the bed nearly impossible. As I lay bundled up, my feet numb from the chill, I couldn’t help but marvel at my mom’s superhuman ability to wake up at 5 a.m. She even brought me coffee-truly a superhero! On the bright side, lunch promises to be delightful with plantain curry, mixed lentils, pomfret fish fry, and rice. Comfort food at its best!
I did some assignments, watched a lectire and now I am mylotting. All of this from my bed with a blanket wrapped around me like a human roomba.
What's going on in your life?
When do you wake up in the morning during winter?

I'm usually awake all night long, take my morning meds between 5:30 and 6 am then go to sleep for a few hours, wake up around noon, watch some YouTube and myLot for a while before falling asleep again. I take evening meds at 6 pm and watch a movie before falling asleep for a couple more hours.

I wake up at 4:30 or 5 a.m. I never think of your place as being cold. It is cold here but we have a good heating system. Hot coffee first thing certainly tastes good.

I usually stay in bed as long as possible so I don't have to get up and deal with the cold.

Wow, you can do that while on bed. No, I can't do that when I wanted to study or read books.

My husband worked very late and I am in quiet mode so he can get rested up. He needs to sleep and wake up refreshed for work again later today.

I used to wake up early while I was in college. No matter the weather, would wake up and finish the morning routines and study. Somedays , it was a battle between mind and body to get going whereas the mind would love to wrap up in blanket and sleep. Right now , it is different. I do have less choice wen it come to waking up as there is work and other things to do. I do have luxury of doing the sleep longer on weekends . Although it is winter, the temperature is not low where I live. Perhaps it is climate change and heatwaves causing it. This was not the case earlier. I usually wake up 6 in the morning these days on weekdays. Well, enjoy the time!
