This morning I attended a two and half hour webinar for parents for my daughter's school. The webinar is discussing social and emotional learning skills the children should have.
Nowadays that kids grew up with their gadgets always by their side, social manners and skills are not developing as it should be. Personal social interactions (face-to-face) reduced but social media interactions tremendously increased.

That is a big challenge going forward. The personal social interactions help us them to understand the human nature and get a better understanding of the world. Social media interactions are not helping develop socal skills. Worse, it presents a world which is far away from truth. Children would not understand that part till it is late. Most adults are aware of it , hence we are not so active in social media unless it is part of the profession or income generating ways. It is a good thing that webinars are conducted by schools to educate parents on these things and how to make the world better. Wish , this was mandatory for all schools across the globe. Have a great weekend!

I believe there were lots of lessons learned from the webinar, though I know that it is just a reminder for most because we knew that effects of social media and all.
