I've filed my resignation... (finally!)

Well I guess that's it. After 11 long years of meaning to leave my present employer, I have finally handed in my resignation to my immediate supervisor. Aside from continuous pile up of additional duties (which were never aptly compensated anyway), what really pushed me to give in was the toxic behavior of my branch head. It started about several months back when we began to notice the 'micromanaging' being done to us by him.
We almost feared filing for leave of absence because he did not seem to see that just like him, we were entitled to take a break from work; even when we felt sick to go to the office. In fact, some of our availed leaves were rejected. He even needed proof that we were really sick.
And as if that wasn't enough, he even had the audacity to make up stories to the higher-ups belittling us.
I tried to air my side of the story to one of my bosses in the head office but it seemed futile because their minds were already 'poisoned' by this devilish creature.
So now that I have given my resignation, I felt that it was good riddance. I still have 2 weeks to wrap up my work in the office but still I feel better now. I am still in the lookout for other earning opportunities but I know God will provide.
