The Living Doll ran from September 27, 1964, until March 17, 1965, on CBS television. That is 26 episodes of no tech or special effects-- just acting. It is the story of a space agency psychiatrist, Bob McDonald, finds a top-secret prototype female robot. Her creator asks Bob to take over her care and training because he is reassigned to Pakistan.
Julie Newmar is the robot. That so picturesque gal from "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar".

I have a very vague recollection of maybe seeing reruns of it. I was born in 1962 and too young to see it when it aired the first time.

Oh, I see. I thought it was interesting and such a contrast to the special effects we have nowadays.

It was cute. A nice vehicle for Julie too.

No. But I can see the typical pin up look of the actress.

Really? It seems so silly now with the technology and special effects we have today.
