I just saw a bunch of drones

I just happened to be looking out the window at the right time and I saw a bunch of drones flying around out there. They've been seen in this area for weeks but it was the first time I saw them. There were like a dozen of them and they were going in different directions. My neighbor said that she sees them each night when she walks her dog. She asked me where I thought they were coming from. I told her Lakehurst which is like 20 minutes away. It is part of a ginormous joint military base (McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst) and is a part of the navy's air research program. The best theory I've heard so far is that the drones are being launched from there and are going to a naval ship in the ocean and vice versa. The stupidest one I've heard is that they are coming from an Iranian ship off the coast.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul slammed the Biden administration's bumbling response to the done crisis sweeping the east coast, telling the White House the bizarre episode 'has gone too far.'

I think if it was a legit military operation they would take responsibility for it, or issue a statement rather than creating a public panic.

@NJChicaa I mean the government and the military have some overlap, but they are really separate entities..even if the Pres. Is Commander in chief.

At this point I don't think the government CAN say they are responsible without looking totally terrible. If it wasn't the government then they would have been shooting them down by now.

There have been hundreds flying over New Jersey each night for weeks now. The government claims that they don't know who is responsible for them.

It's a shame the authorities don't give an explanation and save everyone a lot of worry and speculation.

In all probability , it should be a military exercise. Cops would have got some alert on a number of drones passing by , however since it is from the military , did not act upon it. Military based would also be on alert had it been from any other source. Believe any military and Navy posts have huge patrolling system which would monitor atleast 10kms beyond their boundaries so that they be ready on slightest alert. Well, crazy theory is about the drones being from Iran. Iran is far off and how can they send across one flying all these distance without getting detected. You have a great weekend!

The county sheriff has been in national news for sending up his own drones to try to track them. He doesn't seem to have been alerted.

This is going to sound crazy but I think that the drones were in my neighborhood in 2020 when Hurricane Laura touched down in Lake Charles and around midnight I saw what I thought were saucers may have been drones flying over the damaged area which was the backyard that was flooded. I did not have a camera to film the incident.

New Jersey, New York, and now the Cape Cod area. I half expect to wake up tomorrow and see them in Illinois. So many ideas and theories about all of this, in the news all week. Very strange!
