Friday's shopping trip down town. (Friday 13th December 2024)

I went shopping down town again on Friday. I went to the toilet by the Cathedral, then I posted some Christmas cards and went and got some photos printed at the photo expert shop. But as it was Friday The Thirteenth they were having some technical problems! Also I've got a new photo app on my tablet, and when you select the photos you want printing, then put the tablet on stand-by, when you turn the tablet back on they've been de-selected and I had to select them all over again! I wanted to get some photocopies done aswell but I couldn't because they were nearly out of ink and they were waiting for a new delivery! After I'd got my photos printed, I went to WH Smith and got some 12 first and 12 second class stamps. Then I got a train calendar for my Mum to give to Syd. Then I got some presents for my Mum and Syd, and a Music magazine, the classical music magazine. I also got some bags to put the presents in, one with gingerbread men on and one with Christmas trees on. And because I'd got so much stuff, I went to a real person to pay rather than the self service till! Then I went to Holland and Barrett and got some of the raspberry liquorice, and after that I went and got my repeat prescription from the pharmacy. Next I went to The Entertainer toy shop and got a game for my nephews where you have to describe a celebrity. It was the only thing I could see with 12+ on it! But I couldn't see any Lego!™ Not one solitary item of Lego!™ Then I went to Tesco and got some Alpen cereal with no added sugar for my Mum. She wanted some no added sugar Ribena too, but I couldn't get that. Then I went to Iceland (the shop not the country) and got 2 Chinese Style Chicken currys, 1 sweet and sour chicken, a paella and 3 packets sea bass for me. Then I went to the till, but then I remembered that I should be looking for some Ribena, so I went back to look for that. I found one but it was a large one and I didn't know if it would fit in the fridge! But I got it anyway because it was the only one I could see. I couldn't see a smaller one. So then I went and paid. When I was going to and from Iceland, it was spitting a little bit, but it wasn't much. It cleared up completely when I was on the way home. So I went to the toilet by the Cathedral first and then I went home. When I got home I gave Mum her change, club card and shopping list. Then I gave her the trains calendar that I'd got for her to give to Syd. (I hid the rest of the presents.) Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away. I was very tired by then and I couldn't wait to have a sit down! What have you lot been getting up to recently? Have you got all your Christmas presents yet?
