Many people celebrate the 'birth of Jesus Christ' on a day that is not His actual birthday

...and that's fine and well. Whatever floats yer boat. No one knows the exact day He was born (although it was nowhere near the Winter solstice) and no one knows the exact day He died.
But don't expect the entire world to be happy and joyful just because you celebrate 'Christmas'.
I'll just sit over here and try to ignore all the hullabaloo.
Didn't even put my Grinch suit on this year.
But December 26th is MY favorite day because it means I don't have to put up with this silly nonsense for another year.
Happy Hollandaise.

I love your Grinch suit...wait to see you in that. :)
As to Hinduism
1. I noticed all goddesses look alike...as if they were all twins or triplets or quadruplets... whatever. Only change in attire and whatever they are holding.
2 I noticed that all gods also look alike and don't have beards and mustaches
3. I also noticed that we followed a different calendar ages ago, which was changed several times in between, hopefully keeping in tact the important days that were there originally. But everybody is reading them in Gregorian calendars now...LOL
So yeah...the festivals don't make sense to me....many events in scriptures don't match with modern calendar.

Xaviera Hollandaise?
And of course you're not wearing your Grinch suit because @Celticeagle stole it.

The only time I was happy to celebrate the Christmas holiday was when Craig was a toddler. It made me happy to see how his eyes would lit up and how happy he was seeing toys inside his Christmas socks every day of December till Christmas Day.
But now that he's an adult, I'm back to being a blah. I dread Christmas and my birthday.

I don't know very many real Christians. They all are full of hate for others. That's not Christian.
But I like celebrating Christmas. I don't think of it as much his birth as it is Yule time. A time to look forward to the coming spring.

No matter what I still enjoy my Christmas memories, I watch Chrismas movies and yes, I celebrate the birth of Jesus no matter when he was actually born, In Latvia they celebrate Second Christmas on Dec 26 and my mother-in-law took it even further and had us celebrating Orthodox Christmas in January but I loved ever moment because I was with family, Now the memories are great to hold onto, Each of us hold Christmas our own ways and what I love best is what the Grinch said.

My favorite is December 31st. Completely over with "this silly nonsense for another year" and, it's rather colorful even if a bit noisy.

You must mean some serious business . . . no Grinch suit on you this year???
I don't blame you . . . just not into any of "this" - not right now anyway. Something is missing. Has been.
Bah humbug and let's see if we feel the same a year from now - same Cat time, same Cat channel.

Happy Hollandaise. I enjoyed the Christmas season up until this year. I acknowledge the birth of Christ; but the holiday is empty with my husband not home. Have a good week.
